Shanna Windham is originally from Roanoke, VA but moved to Eastern NC in order to attend East Carolina University. There she graduated with a Major in Sociology and a Minor in Child Development and Family Relations. She also met her husband, JT, who was born and raised in Wilmington. After getting their feet wet with their careers they decided to make Wilmington their permanent residence together in 2010.
Shanna's professional career is in the Wine and Spirits Industry. She works on the Supplier side calling on both Chain Retail Accounts and Restaurants. She and JT both have a love for fine wine, food, and friends!
With a Governor appointment, Shanna sits on the Board for the Natural Science Museum of NC and also volunteers on her employer's Integration and Diversity Task Force Committee.
Shanna and JT have 3 children (John Thomas, Grant, and Avalee) and a new pup (Baily) that keep them busy! We love being a part of this community and enjoy neighborhood walks/runs, boat rides, surfing Saturdays, and gatherings at the marina. We moved to Turtle Hall in 2018 and are continuing to enjoy getting to know and meeting current neighbors as well as welcoming new families to this amazing community!

After moving thirteen times for military service, graduate school and career advancement in health care management, it was Winnies turn. She chose Wilmington and Turtle Hall and we have always been happy with that choice. Winnie and I bought our lot from Davenport Properties in 1987. We built our home and moved in May 1994. Our adult children love to vacation with us.
We have both served on the THHOA Board, plus Dick was on the Marina Board for 10 years and served as Treasurer of the Turtle Hall Entranceway Committee from its formation in 1997 to 2020. Turtle Hall is unique because of the combination of the Marina and THHOA and the extensive Common Areas, featuring the Gazebo and Boardwalk. We feel very privileged to enjoy those amenities and appreciate all the effort that has gone in to maintaining them since 1985. We encourage all neighbors to take a turn serving on the Board to gain a greater appreciation for how fortunate we are.
